Les Ordres vs. Hunger

I felt Les Ordres to be a very visual film, emphasizing facial expression. In comparison to Hunger, Les Ordres had a much more clearly defined distance to the characters. The audience is shown how political injustice and power dominate over society. Throughout the film, the audience has an on-looker prospective. We are shown what it is to be imprisoned. Hunger also does this but the distance between the audience and the character isn't as raw. We are given more character development, gearing away from the fear and helplessness of the characters Les Ordres acheives.
